Summary:
Christians in Recovery provides information, referral and resources for anyone who is in recovery or who desires to recover from addictions, abuse, dysfunction and other issues. The site provides tool kits for recovery, links to helpful resources, and Biblical references for those in recovery. Those who sign up as members have access to private chat rooms, support groups, daily scheduled recovery meetings, message boards and 12-step Bible studies.
Why does FASTEN recommend this resource?
This Web site is a terrific source of information and support for Christians who are or desire to be in recovery. In the past year, CIR has provided free assistance to over 450,000 people. It is available to those who may have no other access to help, such as those who are ashamed to seek help outside of the anonymity of the internet, those who live in rural areas, those who serve in the armed forces and those who live in countries where Christianity is shunned and recovery resources are unknown. |
