The Social Implications of the Gospel

Fundamentally, the Gospel is the proclamation of God's grace freely available in Jesus Christ - that He has lived and died in the place of all who put their faith in Him, so that they might be forgiven and restored to fellowship with God. However, this message should not be viewed individualistically: when God redeems people, He places them into community. This community, the Church, is described by the Apostle Paul as the Body of Christ.

Switching Gears

Hey everyone!  My blog has been scarce for a while because I have been quite ill, but God has brought me out of it and here I am again writing to you again.  This week I am writing my first prayer letter for my mission to France and I am actually having a hard time with it.  It's difficult to express my love for the lost and desire to reach the French people in a short few paragraphs and the need for a movement of God there.  Could everyone pray for me to find the words?  I really need to get the ball rolling on this so that I can be prepared to leave next summer.
