If you don't have a copy of the most recent (2007) What Color is Your Parachute?, or at least one from the last few years, you owe it to yourself to get one. Even if you aren't looking for a job or planning a career change in the near future, the author's perspective will encourage and stimulate you and his advice will be helpful to you in manifold ways. My friend Bria recommended the book to me, and I'd say it was the best recommendation for a (largely) secular book I've ever received.
