The University Church

Mission Statement

The vision of the church: Our vision is what we see before us. It is the future we seek to create and strive to embrace.

We picture a faith community devoted to reaching out, finding meaning in life, improving the community, re-envisioning the church and transforming the world.

The mission of the church: Our mission is defined by what we do: building, seeking, reaching, introducing, and growing.

We understand our mission as building an authentic Christian community that seeks to reach those outside the faith, introduce them to Christ and grow together in discipleship.

Description

Established on July 1, 2006, The University Church is a new faith community in Toledo, Ohio that seeks to embrace The University of Toledo family: faculty and staff, alumni and friends, students, and the university neighborhood. At The University Church we see ourselves as part of a network of faith communities and organizations that share a common vision of transformation of the communities in which we live locally, regionally and globally. The objectives we seek to accomplish are lived out through mission and implemented through our ministries:

*Discipleship and fellowship
*Service in the world
