Mentoring Plus is a collaborative program to address mentoring needs of chidren of prisoners in Frederick County, and neighboring communities to include Mt. Airy zip code 21771. This collaboration is between the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Frederick County, faith-based organizations, Frederick County Sheriff's Department, Department of Corrections, State of Maryland and local human service organizations. The objective of the program is offer one-on-one and group mentoring and support services to children and families in high risk situations due to lack of adult mentoring and inadequate social support at home.
At present 50 children are involved in one-on-one and group mentoring programs. Over 35 children are on a wait list or rematch list waiting for an adult role model for their own one-to-one mentor.

Settled in the midst of the "promise" of Capitol Hill and the problems of urban America, the mission of Urban Family Development is to strengthen individuals, families, and neighborhoods within Capitol Hill and the Greater Washington DC area by: 1) providing spiritual, social and educational support through youth development and other family-building programs, and 2) mobilizing community financial, relational, and information resources. UFD?s Neighborhood Learning Center provides a positive, nurturing environment where the staff and volunteers work alongside parents and grandparents to enable our students to realize their potential and rise above the circumstances and obstacles many of them face. Through a strong program of academic remediation, social skill development, leadership development and asset building our young people develop the tools and skills needed to refuse the negative influences that surround them and make positive life choices.

The Faith, Hope, and Love Foundation is a foundation(non-profit organization) started by an overseas Christian worker to bring the 3 values of faith, hope, and love to the nations. The foundation does this through classes, lectures, bible translation, and providing scholarship and housing for high school/ college students in economic hardship.

"GLO" exist to make a positve difference in the lives of teen girls. By helping them to raise their standards of living. We wish to introduce and help reinforce the positive morals and values needed to equip these young women, thus enabling them not to only accept,but to overcome the challenges that lie ahead of them. We will accomplish this through a strong and loving network of adults and responsible peers. "GLO" girls are tomorrow's leaders, and we are committed to preparing them, by promoting professional and personal growth.

To embody a practical vision of community based upon justice, compassion, and spirituality that values every individual and which promotes the growth of love and justice in personal and social relationships.
To help those on the margins of urban society to participate more fully in the life and benefits of the larger community.
To implement strategies of partnership, and specific programs of ministries, that address the needs of urban youth, the homeless, the poor, the immigrant, and others who are disadvantaged or disenfranchised.
To provide bridges of friendship and service for individuals and mission groups to understand and participate in the struggles and challenges of the disadvantaged or disenfranchised.
To enlist support from those among the general public who wish to strengthen our communities through programs of service and education, and through development of innovative strategies and structures for social change.

Calvary Casa United Methodist Church is a multicultural church that seeks to transform lives as we proclaim the gospel of Christ through service, preaching, teaching, and the worshiping arts.

To empower youth to achieve leadership qualities through academic, social, and economic empowerment.

To provide youth with the skills and ability to be all they are purposed to be while teaching them about the love of Jesus Christ.

Our main objective is to see the youth of Washington, DC given sound moral principles to develop their lives into productive, responsible adults who have an effective relationship with Jesus Christ, community and family.

In 1997, the Lord instructed Pastor Denson and his lovely wife, Michele D. Denson to start Restoration. As a result of their obedience and yielding to the Spirit of the Lord, they have seen countless people healed, delivered and set free. Restoration International Worship Center is a Spirit lead ministry that trains, equips and builds spiritual leaders. We transcend denominations lines, obliterate color barriers and lead lost souls to Christ. The Declaration that the Lord has given us for this ministry.

The good success as a ministry will come through a concerted and committed effort to minister and meet the lifetime needs of the whole man. We will exhaust all viable modern outreach tools such as TV, radio, internet, and news print to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Restoration International Worship Center. Through aggressive friendship evangelism, we will reach the unsaved, un-churched and un-membered. We will transcend denomination lines, obliterate color barriers and lead lost souls to Christ through anointed bible based teaching, evangelistic preaching, music, creative arts, travailing prayer, and discipleship training.

Through the biblical principles of tithing, sacrificial offering and stewardship, all Restoration International Worship Center members must be 100% compliant so that we will be financially sound and benefactors of the corporate blessings of God according to Malachi 3:10-12.

To unlock the God-given potential of disadvantaged children in Egypt and so transform a generation who will have the courage to transform the next.

Orphanages For Africa (OFA) is dedicated to glorifying God and demonstrating to the world that there is a personal God who hears and answers prayer. OFA is a Christian humanitarian and development organization committed to meeting the basic needs of millions of orphaned and abandoned children across the African continent.

Action for Hope mission is to improve the quality of life of orphans and other underprivileged children by providing them with food, shelter, education,so they can become self-sufficient.

Little Lights Urban Ministries empowers underserved youth and families in Washington , DC with the love of Christ. We seek to develop their God-given potential spiritually, socially, and intellectually through academics, life skills, the arts, and discipleship.

We are a Teen Girl Scout troop in Arlington, Virginia and would like to glean a field for the hungry this fall.
