The Northern Canada Evangelical Mission is an interdenominational faith organization seeking to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Native peoples of Canada.

The goal of The Scott Mission is, through effective stewardship, to serve Christ as Lord and Master, in faith, putting the spirit of Christ into concrete, positive action, through well rounded, spiritual and social services to men, women, and Children where there is a defined need and as means are provided.

We are firm in the belief that the mission field of every Christian is the world. Home and foreign missions are natural partners in Christian ministry. Through evangelism, our goal is to plant local Bible believing churches and develop national leadership.

The Uniterra programme provides numerous opportunities for Canadian citizens to volunteer abroad in their field of experience. We work with local partners in 13 countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia. Uniterra's objective is to support development initiatives to address world poverty.

Cooperate with Uniterra and work in partnership with various organizations, both in developing countries and in Canada. Volunteers share their experiences with their community, encourage international solidarity, and help shape policies towards meeting the UN Millennium Development Goals.

With Uniterra, you can volunteer for a position of one month to two years, depending on the needs of local cooperation initiatives. Recruitment for positions is all-year round. Canadian volunteers for Uniterra must be Canadian citizens or have landed immigrant status. Uniterra also offers the possibility for local resources from different program countries to participate in the initiatives and cooperation projects of partner organizations. These volunteers ensure long term follow-up and the maintenance of knowledge and skills acquired via the Uniterra Programme.

The Salvation Army exists to share the love of Jesus Christ, meet human needs and be a transforming influence in the communities of our world.

We believe international volunteering promotes cross-cultural learning that helps create global awareness, understanding between cultures and provides the platform for positive change. Our volunteers have taught in schools, provided disaster relief support for the International Red Cross, conducted essential research to improve the management strategies of threatened environments, built homes for impoverished people, provided vocational training and programs for street kids and have worked in co-operation with hundreds of local organizations to distribute aid and improve the quality of life for people throughout Asia, Africa and Latin America.
