Dr. Barbara Harkins was a life long educator who believed in the power of

and concern in schools, and she wanted to change that. Through the foundation Dr. Harkins legacy of compassion will live on.

To bring the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to people seeking recovery and wholeness in their lives.
To minister to those seeking recovery from life's trials, problems, addictions and dysfunctions.
To provide information, tools and resources to those in need of recovery so that balance and order may be restored in their lives.
To promote active discussion of the Bible, the 12 Steps of Christians in Recovery and personal experiences in recovery so that people can come closer to God, become stronger in Him, and be spiritually nourished.
To provide an atmosphere where recovering people may feel comfortable sharing their Christian faith.
To encourage mutual sharing of strength, hope and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as it pertains to recovery.
To attract others to a belief in God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit as well as recovery.
