The mission of Philly Inner City Outings is to introduce inner city youth to the wonders of the natural world, allowing them to explore, enjoy and learn about our area's natural resources.

Description

Philadelphia ICO is a specialized local outreach program that provides outdoor and environmental educational experiences for youth in the Philadelphia area. Its goal is to provide unique experiences for Philadelphia youth to discover the beauty of nature in an effort to strengthen their ability to face challenges in their lives. Fostering teamwork and cooperation are major aspects of the Philly ICO experiences. Participates naturally develop interpersonal skills and self esteem through an active relationship with the outdoors and interaction with positive adult role models. Philadelphia ICO program offers hiking, camping, canoeing, and other outdoor adventures.
