Mission Statement
Our mission statement is short and simple: “Equipping and empowering homeless teens and young adults to exit street life.”
To unpack that a bit, Outreach, Inc. is a ministry reaching out to homeless and at-risk young adults with the compassion of Jesus Christ. We provide street outreach, a drop-in center, holistic social services, case management and emergency referral services. We strive to do these things in an environment of GodÂ’s love.
We are dedicated to introducing these teens and young adults to a relationship with Jesus Christ and helping them to mature in that relationship. Outreach works side-by-side local churches, equipping and supporting the body of Christ and community to minister to this population with the goal of empowering the youth to exit the street life.
Description
Outreach, Inc. reaches out with the love of Christ to help homeless and runaway youth find a safer and more stable life. Every week our street outreach teams search for youth in abandoned buildings, parks, wooded areas and under bridges to offer practical assistance like food, clothing, bottled water and first aid. We listen to each story and build the trust necessary to bring change to their lives. Our 24/7 crisis hotline allows street youth to call any time with their deepest pain, often enabling us to minister to those contemplating suicide.
