Mission Statement
We at the New Hope Counseling Ministry are a Christ-following community of trained volunteers commissioned by the Crystal Cathedral to draw strength from the love of God and one another in order to overflow with the compassion of Christ by listening to, encouraging, and praying for hurting people from around the world who reach out for help through our 24-hour hotline, private chat room, and teenline.
Description
New Hope is a 24-hour counseling ministry sponsored by the Crystal Cathedral. All counselors are volunters, trained and supervised by professional staff, who serve from their home or at the church campus in Garden Grove, CA. Most volunteers serve one four-hour shift every one to two weeks.
Training can be completed at home or on the church campus and focuses on relational and spiritual development issues like empathy, listening, basic counseling, grief, setting boundaries, faith in suffering, and how to pray for others.

Jesus Christ is God in human flesh, perfectly holy, sacrificed himself for us on the cross, and rose from the dead to give new life, God's abundant and eternal life, to anyone who will trust and follow him. Jesus is the way, truth, and life.
The Bible is the authoritative and inspired Word of God for us to base our lives on.
Our blessed opportunity and best witness is to offer God's love and compassion to all people. Serving the Lord together helps us to grow spiritually.
