Mission Statement
The Lighthouse Ministries, Inc. is a non-profit corporation serving men, women, and children of Kentucky with a three-fold ministry designed to meet the practical and spiritual needs of those in crisis situations, resulting in ?changed lives for a lifetime?.
Description
We feed hot meals to the hungry, poor, and needy of the local communities. This program provides a platform to share God's love in word, deed, and truth as well as yielding a resource center through which potential individuals can be referred to the residential homes of The Lighthouse and/or to local churches that are equipped to help. We feed an average of 120 people a day, 6 days a week. We open our doors at noon, but ask that our volunteers be here by 11:30.
Organizational Statement of Faith
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, death, through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for salvation of the lost souls and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. This event we hold to be an experience, rather than a doctrinal supposition.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
We believe in the spiritual unity of the Believers in Christ and together they form one body, the CHURCH.
