Mission Statement

Knowledge Builders of Florida, Inc. (KBF) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide underprivileged youth and their families the skills to develop intellectually and socially through an innovative, hands-on technology program. Through its motto "Build a Better Future Today through Technology". KBF's vision is to provide a safe, drug free environment that supports and encourages their academic achievement while enhancing their physical, mental, and social well being.

Description

Today, KBF provides after-school tutoring and a full-scope summer program that focuses on working to improve youth participant academics, improve FCAT scores, and to improve, enhance and advance computer skills for underprivileged youth and their families in the Goulds region of South Dade. Our signature program, "Plugged Into Technology and Academics" (PITA), strives to involve the entire family. We recognize that our unique environment and commitment is a critical link between the public school and a struggling child and his/her family.

Organizational Statement of Faith

We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Bible is God's written revelation to man and that it is verbally inspired, authoritative, and without error in the original manuscripts.

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, death on the cross to provide for our redemption, bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven, present ministry of intercession for us, and His return to earth in power and glory.

We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit, that He performs the miracle of the new birth in an unbeliever and indwells believers, enabling them to live a godly life.

We believe that man was created in the image of God, but because of sin, was alienated from God. That alienation can be removed only by accepting through faith God's gift of salvation which was made possible by Christ's death.
