Mission Statement

The Idaho Foodbank in an efficient and caring manner, provides food, information, and supportive services to hungry people through partnerships with nonprofit agencies, the food industry, government, volunteers, corporations, and individuals by serving as a central clearinghouse for donated and purchased food.

Description

In 1984, The Idaho Foodbank was created by a group of dedicated individuals who recognized the need for a statewide organization to fight hunger in Idaho.
Today The Idaho Foodbank is the single largest distributor of food in Idaho. It is responsible for providing food to over 200 non-profit agencies statewide - from small food pantries in isolated communities to well-known national organizations in cities.
Through the coordinated efforts of The Idaho Foodbank, soup kitchens, food pantries and shelters are able to serve hope to children, seniors and families - 365 days a year.
