Currently Hoskins Park Ministries has 12 houses in northwest Charlotte, all within one block of each other and accommodate 42 previously homeless men. We have a staff of 6 which includes; Tom Wheeler, Exec. Tom and Johnny officially co-founded Hoskins Park at its own 501c3 non-profit in 2006 although it was unofficially started in 2001 when Johnny first moved into the area and started taking men in off the street.

Have been serving for over a year at HPM- GREAT Organization!!
I have been serving alongside the men at HPM for well over a year. HPM is a unique organization that has been able to restore the lives of many homeless and despondent men in the Charlotte area through their demonstration of God's Love, Mercy and Forgiveness. Although I can't comment on the web site volunteering, I can attest to witnessing first hand the organization and collaboration of the HPM staff, volunteers and residents at EVERY event (2010 Open House was amazing!!). I am honored to work with this organization and have learned so much about myself and my faith through my experiences with them.
Helped them for a few weeks.
Helped them for a few weeks. They were kind and they had a need, but were disorganized. Was planning to help revise the websites, and did a few things (and actually had plans for a lot more), but the webmaster said he talked to the organization head and his ideas for the website were so ambitious that he (the webmaster) didn't have the experience to carry them out. So the webmaster was moving on and decided to help another group. The experience was a bit disappointing.
