Mission Statement

HIMALAYA FOUNDATION NEPAL (HFN) is a Non-Government Organization (NGO) legally registered in Kathmandu District Administration Office (DAO) with Govt. Regd. No. 935 under the society act of 2034 in year 2007 It is also associated with Social Welfare Council of Nepal (SWC Regd. No. 24693). The organization is founded Under HIMALAYAN HOPE CHURCH by the Nepali Christian social development workers & experts and professionals to make significant contribution in development activities in order to mobilize Christian communities and Churches as well as demonstrating the Christian Values.

From its establishment in 2007, HFN has been providing most affordable Nepal volunteering opportunities in different sectors. HFN has been mobilizing international and local volunteers in various programs providing essential trainings and counseling, which contribute significantly to the development of poor and marginalized communities of Nepal.

We started Children home in 2007 with 10 high-risk children in desperate circumstances. The story of each child was unique and tragic. Despite the desperate circumstances we believed each child deserved a loving home and a hope for the future. We started to provide care, shelter, and education for these children. The home has now grown to over 15 children 4 years to 12 years of age.
HFN has been deploying its volunteers under volunteer Nepal Program in teaching in schools, teacher development, health and sanitation, child and youth development, English teaching in formal and Non-formal schools, Vocational education, Child sponsorship and scholarship, language and culture, environment and community education, teaching computer science, Construction and other material support, working in orphanages and street children rehabilitation centers, cultural exchange and home stay, and entrepreneurship. We work together to help communities meet local needs and some of the goals of the United Nation's Millennium Development Goals.
