Mission Statement
The Harvest Project is a unique non-profit organization, on the North Shore, reaching out to marginalized people in our community. Our primary focus is to, “Extend a hand up, not a hand out.” The Harvest Project was founded upon the Biblical principles of being generous to those in need.
Description
We extend a hand through counseling, client care, life resources, clothing and food services. The Harvest Project assists those in our community, who are in transition, by providing physical, emotional and spiritual support as they work towards self-sufficiency.
Organizational Statement of Faith
We believe in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that all people are created in GodÂ’s image and we treat people with dignity, recognizing that they are loved by God. We believe that Jesus Christ was sent to restore the relationship between God and humanity; that through His life, death, and resurrection, God provided the way of salvation culminating in the gift of eternal life for all who respond in faith. We value this gift of grace, believing that it has the power to liberate, heal, and transform individuals and communities. We believe in the indwelling, empowering work of the Holy Spirit in all believers, who together form the one universal Church, and in the divine inspiration of Holy Scripture and its authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
