Mission Statement

Christian Communities Group Homes exists to provide community-supported, inter-generational housing programs for senior citizens living in Ward 4 and Ward 5 of Washington, DC. Through three group homes, CCGH is able to provide affordable and direct housing for 15 seniors and address the individual needs of each resident ? arranging medical care, administering medications, combating depression, and generating opportunities for social interaction/stimulation. Through the Age-In-Place program, CCGH mobilizes volunteers to provide free home services for elderly in their homes, thus maintaining neighborhoods, senior housing, and fostering intergenerational relationships between seniors and volunteers.

Description

Christian Communities Group Homes, Inc. (CCGH) has been providing housing and care for low-income seniors since 1981 and became a subsidiary of Episcopal Senior Ministries in 2000. CCGH today operates three recently-renovated, small homes for low-income elderly in NE Washington, DC and a volunteer-based housing services program, Age-in-Place, that helps seniors maintain the integrity and safety of their homes.
