  • This presentation examines funding biases of nonprofits across race, class, gender and faith. Research shows that while 52.4% of those in poverty in the USA are people of color, only 16.5% of nonprofits are led by people of color, and only 3% of foundation funding goes toward organizations that are led by people of color. • Promote and provide access to free quality non-formal and formal basic education for children and school dropouts within deprived rural communities and by that, contributing to bridging the urban-rural, gaps in basic education in Buikwe region and also as long-term means to poverty reduction.
    • Strengthen the capacity of small-scale farmers and households in value added agro-enterprise Technologies for increased income, improved nutrition, food security, availability and strength of seed chain.

    • To affirm the enduring values of peace, social justice, human dignity and integrity in settings where these values are not always taken for granted.

To improve the health conditions of communities through elimination of health hazards in the environment that lead to untimely death among adults and children.

The ability of Save African Child Uganda (SACU) to meet these demands (the service delivery capacity) has already exceeded its ability to respond to a variety of human needs in the geographical areas of mandate. Our request therefore, would provide part of the funds needed for us to engage in projects or programs that improve the health and education standards of our children.

  • All TechMission Corps members are required to present a project at the end of their term of service, which AmeriCorps requirements call a "replicable project." This project represents the culmination of the member's term of service in the community, outlining what the member has done so that the next person to serve can build upon what has already been developed.
