Hospice Volunteers Needed!
|
Description
God comforts us that we might comfort others.
Throughout the course of life, we often find ourselves touched by the loss of a loved one. As painful as the experience is, we are able to find comfort in Christ, as well as the kindness of friends, family members and volunteers--those special individuals who help make the final stages of life easier to bear.
Faith Hospice of Oklahoma City and Norman is seeking volunteers to help terminally ill patients and their families. There are many areas in which a volunteer is needed, including:
--Spending time with patients
--Creating craft projects and goodie baskets
--Providing a listening ear for caregivers and family members
--Bereavement visits/phone calls
--Administrative assistance (i.e., answering phones, scanning documents)
If you or a member of your congregation wishes to volunteer; or if you would like to have someone make presentation about the volunteering process, please contact me using this site.
May you find yourselves encouraged in every stage of life.
Requirements
All we ask is that our volunteers have a willing spirit and a giving heart.
(NOTE: All volunteers are asked to complete a background check, as well TB testing; in addition, you must be over the age of 18.)
Do you require that volunteers for this position be
