De toelagen van de stichting concentreren zich op drie categorieën: 1) communautaire ontwikkeling en de activabouw; 2) kennis, creativiteit, en vrijheid; 3) sociale rechtvaardigheid en vredesinitiatieven.

De stichting vraagt dat alle kandidaten de officiële website voor richtlijnen zouden moeten herzien. Van daar, zullen de kandidaten dan gevraagd worden om door een brief of een online voorlegging door de stichtingswebsite van toepassing te zijn.


Een aanvraagformulier wordt niet vereist.

De toepassingen die in het Frans, het Spaans, en Rus worden geschreven kunnen ook worden goedgekeurd.

The foundation asks that all letters of inquiries should NOT be sent by fax. Send it by mail to the office of Grants Management or by E-mail. Direct applications for MacArthur Fellows programs are also not accepted. Grants increasingly initiated by the board.

Must submit a letter of inquiry that includes a cover sheet.  According to the MacArthur foundation website, the cover sheet should have the following information:

  • Name of your organization (and acronym if commonly used)
