Summary:

 

The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, a part of the National Institutes of Health, is devoted to reducing alcohol-related problems by conducting and supporting scientific research regarding alcohol-related issues.  It collaborates with other organizations and entities to further this goal.  The scientific knowledge resulting from its research is then disseminated to health professionals, researchers, policymakers and the public.

This site offers a wealth of information on alcohol-related problems.  It contains many online articles, including prevention and parent’s guides, and links to other helpful sites.  Many of NIAAA’s publications are available in Spanish.
