The National Congress for Community Economic Development exists to serve the community-based development industry. The NCCED was founded in 1970 and represents over 3600 community development corporations in the US.  In efforts to to support their mission, the website offers a great deal of information and resources for those in this field.

If you want to learn more about the field of community development, check out this site.  There are links to many organization websites, information on what CDCs are and how to start one, and even a section devoted to the faith-based community economic development initiative.  Also on the site are news releases, video clips, information about the NCCED's programs, their training workshops and events, publications (some free, some not), as well as public policy and funding info.
