Michael Mata: Not All Latinos Eat Tacos: UYWI 2004

Printer-friendly versionPDF version

To see the Latino community as homogeneous and mono-cultural is to err greatly and be ineffectual in outreach to Hispanic youth. While the Latino community may hold common values, its people come from diverse historical and social locations. These differences affect how Hispanic youth look at life and their particular needs. This seminar will provide insights into Latino cultures and how to best meet the needs of Hispanic youth.
