Summary:

This is a very thorough guidebook that contains 24 comprehensive lessons, designed to develop and strengthen the relationship between a mentor and mentored client. Practical topics covered include “Overcoming Barriers to Employment” and “Ingredients for Good Relationships.” Each lesson has many different elements: goals for the lesson and for the mentor, insights to help the mentor, discussion questions, practical activities or exercises, principles for discussion and homework.  The many different components in each lesson allow the topics to be explored very thoroughly. The materials can be used for faith-based or non-faith-based mentoring initiatives. Family to Family Mentoring plans publication of additional modules. The four included in this curriculum are: Setting a New Course;  Making Your Money Work; Pathways to Career Success; and Relationships: Foundations That Last.
