Summary:
The Legal Action Center is an advocate for removing what it views as unreasonable and counterproductive legal barriers faced by those with criminal records as they attempt to return to society. LAC conducted a two-year study of those obstacles, which culminated in a report which can be found on LAC’s Web site. In addition, it makes policy recommendations about how ex-offenders can be successfully reintegrated into society without negatively affecting public safety.
