Summary:

 

Leadership to Keep Children Alcohol Free is an initiative aimed at preventing alcohol use by children between the ages of 9 and 15.  It is made up of a coalition of Governors’ spouses, federal agencies, and public and private organizations desiring to educate both policymakers and the public about the problem of alcohol use among children and to galvanize prevention efforts.  This site provides both information and resources aimed at increasing awareness of the extent and consequences of early alcohol use as well as methods to prevent alcohol use among children.

This Web site contains helpful resources for prevention practitioners, parents and others who are engaged in efforts to prevent early alcohol use.  There are a number of helpful online guides produced by both the Leadership to Keep Children Alcohol Free initiative and other organizations, including Keep Kids Alcohol Free: Strategies for Action, Community How To Guides on Underage Drinking Prevention, and the Join Together Technical Assistance Packet.
