Judge Sonia Sotomayor Makes History by Becoming the First Hispanic Supreme Court Judge

In a 68-31 vote, Sonia Sotomayor has been officially confirmed to the Supreme Court and will take office on Saturday, August 8. 2009! She is the first Hispanic person, and the third woman to hold this position. For more background on Judge Sotomayor, read here.
