Agape Youth Ministry ("AYM"), a nondenominational, Bible-based Christian non-profit ministry, expects to open its Agape Youth Ranch ("AYR") Residential Program for at-risk/troubled teens in 2009. AYR is located in southeast Arizona at the base of the Chiricahua Mountains. AYM has an opportunity open for a RANCH DIRECTOR. This position is a SELF-SUPPORTED MISSIONARY POSITION. The successful candidate will be given ample time to raise support.
Qualifications required for the Ranch Director include, but are not limited to:
· a 4-yr. degree and/or experience acceptable to Arizona Behavorial Services for State licensing;
· Experience working with teens in a camp or ranch setting;
· A born-again Christian, well-grounded in the Bible and actively living in his/her faith;

The successful applicant will be coming in on the ground-floor of establishing these programs at AYR. Youth-focused programs currently held at AYR are summer Bible horse camps & weekend horse camp outreaches for inner-city teens. AYR will open its 12-month Residential Program for "at risk" teens in 2009. A future program to be developed is the "Teen-To-Teen" mentoring program, (pairing older teens with younger at-risk teens to further their progress).
The “At-Risk” or troubled teens we seek to help are those exhibiting behavioral problems, such as defiance toward authority, lack of motivation, depression, truancy, and similar behaviors. These teens will be taught animal science and horsemanship as they learn to care for and train horses and dogs. Home schooling will help the teens reach their scholastic level and move forward in their education. Bible-based counseling and care from their resident Christian counselors will encourage positive changes in the teens’ behavioral and emotional health as they are introduced to the saving grace of Jesus Christ and taught the Word through Bible studies and Chapel services.
