FACULTY POSITION IN MATERNITY NURSING
Position
Full-time tenure track position in the Department of Nursing, August 16, 2010. The department of nursing offers a professional program leading to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
Qualifications
A master’s degree in nursing is required with a preferred major in maternity nursing; a doctorate in nursing or a related area is preferred. Current licensure as a professional nurse in Illinois, or eligibility for, is required. Clinical experience in nursing and the ability to work in a second course/clinical area is required. Successful experience in teaching at the baccalaureate level is desirable.
Trinity seeks candidates for faculty positions who are professing Christians and committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. They should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education in the tradition of Reformed Christian higher education and be competent to demonstrate to students a mature articulation of faith and learning. Faculty members are also dedicated to personal involvement with students outside the classroom in advising, social interaction, and informal academic and cultural settings.
Responsibilities
Responsibility for teaching both the classroom and clinical components of maternal/child nursing, developing clinical experiences across the curriculum, and involvement in other segments of the curriculum, including other fundamental laboratory experiences, during fall and spring semesters as arranged. Faculty members have additional responsibility for student advisement, college and department service, and scholarly and professional achievement.
Compensation
Rank and salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance, pension, life insurance, and disability insurance.

Trinity Christian College is a four-year liberal arts college located in Palos Heights, Illinois, a suburb twenty miles southwest of Chicago.
