Organization Name:
The Boston Project Ministries

The Boston Project Ministries [TBPM] is a faith-based service organization, mobilizing residents and volunteers in projects to help build and nurture strong communities. We are growing a network of neighborhood ministry houses to serve the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston year-round.

We invite you to consider joining us as part of our summer or year-round staff in 2009.

We have 12 positions still open as we put together an incredible multi-ethnic, gifted young adult team. APPLY TODAY!

Our Summer Missions Program (SMP) is run by a team of young adults with a heart for loving and discipling youth as they serve in the context of an urban, weeklong missions trip.
*  Staff Counselors (7 positions): The core of the SMP staff. Serve weekly alongside groups from around the country as you lead them in service projects, devotions, and interactive games designed to explore God’s heart for justice and shalom in the city.
*  Program Directors (2 positions): Provide spiritual direction for a youth group's trip to Boston, offer pastoral care for a staff team, and oversee program and staffing logistics.
*  Senior Program Director (1 position): New position! Experienced person to work alongside staff, coaching them in teaching, debriefing, and effective programmatic leadership. Worship leader experience a plus.

Our Neighborhood Youth Ministries team works with children and youth in our Dorchester neighborhood. We run daily programming for children and supervise around 25 teens in internship and job positions. We also host evening events like youth Bible study, a teen café and an outdoor family fun night.
*  Park Patrol Coordinator (1 position): Mentor teenagers through a first-time job experience. Our urban environmental justice program focuses on equipping young people to be advocates for parks and open space in our immediate neighborhood.
*  Business Coordinator (1 position): Help launch a fair-trade t-shirt company and oversee its day-to-day logistics. Includes responsibilities in web design and website maintenance, administration and accounting, advertising, organizing goods and supplies, and order fulfillment. This position will be responsible for supervising two youth interns.
