POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Internet Marketing Administrator

Department:   CI/CICO

Report to:       Internet Marketing Director (Nell Handley)

Educational or Certification Requirements:

Degree in Communications and/or Internet-related area of Computer Sciences, Business, etc.

Experience Requirements:

Website Administrator will assist in the maintenance and support of two websites, related systems, and marketing initiatives. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in website design and marketing using internet-based tools.  Individual should have a working knowledge of HTML, content management systems, and should have experience with general Internet design tools (Dreamweaver), as well as internet systems or tools specifically related to online video/audio presentation.  The position also requires some writing experience/skills and working knowledge of social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Require/Preferred:

• Good communication skills – written/verbal
• Working knowledge of programming skill in HTML and content management systems
• Computer literate in Word and internet design software
• Well organized with good time management skills
• Capable researcher
• Confidentiality

Position Summary:

This administrator will be responsible for maintaining our current internet sites (CI & CICO).  The administrator will use the existing and future sites to communicate information and to support the organization’s fund-raising efforts, so a good grasp of marketing is essential.  Raw information needed for web maintenance will mostly be supplied by the Communications Department, but the administrator may still need to shape the content and package it in an attractive and compelling manner for use on the internet.  The sites should receive daily attention and updates should occur often.  The administrator will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the organization on all social networking sites, which will include search engine optimization.
