We are now looking to hire a Accountant with Grant Management abilities who will be in charge of posting and tracking grant oriented expenditures and maintain all the appropriate documentation and records for GAAP. This posion is on Guam, the westernmost territory of the United States. We are located near Japan in the Western Pacific. This is perfect for someone who is ready to retire, but wants to be involved in ministry in a multi-cultural community.

Elim Pacific Ministries was established to extend God’s Kingdom in practical dimensions throughout the PacificIslands. We are an apostolic ministry devoted to the Word and Prayer in order to provide a strong foundation through our service for God’s purposes to flourish. Our key outreach priorities focus on Empowerment; Linking Laborers; Imparting God’s anointing to Islanders; and Mobilizing Ministers. This ministry is focused on restoration of lives in a richly diverse multi-cultural context and your mission work will involve many aspects of service.

Job Description

 

Position:          Grant Management Accountant

Status: Part-time

Budget Goal:    $12.00 - $15.00 per hour  

Hours:                  Up to 30 hours per week. 

Supervisor:        Rob Zimmerman

 

Overview:         The focus of job is diverse with many facets of responsibility and areas to be involved. There is a integral involvement between the spiritual dimensions of this work and the practical responsibilies.

 

Qualifications: Has 10 years of work in business oriented accounting.

                                Has experience in Quickbooks Financial Management Software.

                                Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office Software, especially Word and Excel

Willing to tackle new challenges and invest yourself and your resources to extend God’s Kingdom.

Maintains a teachable heart as foundational to effectively ministering restoration and healing.

Possesses a warm, non-judgmental personality, with genuine empathy and compassion.

Is a good listener with some basic counseling and group facilitation skills.

Maintains a professional and ethical approach in all personal contacts. 

Has an appreciation for the diversity of the body of Christ and a commitment to promoting unity.

Personally communicates and demonstrates an exemplary lifestyle of sobriety and holiness.

                                Has a strong personal commitment to Christian values, work ethics with diligence and excellence.

                                Has experience working in a multi-cultural environment with people of diverse backgrounds.

                                Is a good administrator with attention to details, yet keeps sight of the ultimate goals.

                                                               

Responsibilities:

                               

Grant Management:

·         To directly manage the grant project to ensure that goals are achieved and outcomes tracked and evaluated

·         Prepare monthly and quarterly status reports

·         Conduct staff evaluations for specific grants under your direct supervision

 

Financial Management.

·         Administrative Support to the Director and help establish systems that will improve the work flow, promote greater staff focus, accountability and productivity  

·         Assist Director in Grant Management responsibilities to improve timely submission of documentation required by grantor agencies, organization of records.

·         Ensure that all financial transactions are managed following GAAP and documentation is well organized and maintained.

·         Maintain records to be fully audit ready
