Early Childhood Teacher's Assistant

This organization primarily serves the Latino Community with social services and educational support.  Their Early Childhood Teacher's Assistant position assists with the implementation of the Creative Curriculum in the Early Childhood classroom appropriate to the developmental needs of the children. 

Requirements for the position are persons who are willing to:

*wear many hats, work well with change, take initiative, be self-directed, be committed to the Latino population and with low income persons, be flexible, sulturally sensitive and savvy.  Prefer someone who is bilingual but this is not required.

The position is available through the Discipleship Year Program, which is a year-long internship program affiliated with the Servant Leadership School and Church of the Saviour in Washington, DC.  Volunteers who serve live in a group house with others, attend weekly seminars and classes at the Servant Leadership School and live on a small stipend.  Health Insurance is provided.  For more information or to apply, contact Dawn Longenecker at dlongenecker@slschool.org or 202-328-1102.  Website:  www.slschool.org
