FACULTY POSITION as DIRECTOR OF ADULT STUDIES in BUSINESS
 
 
Position
Director of Adult Studies Business, a position with both administrative and faculty responsibilities. An eleven month position, starting spring ‘11.
 
Qualifications
Ph.D. preferred, Master’s Degree required. Experience in administration strengthens the application; experience in college-level teaching and scholarship desired. Trinity seeks candidates for faculty positions who are professing Christians and committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. They should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education in the tradition of Reformed Christian higher education and be competent to demonstrate to students a mature articulation of faith and learning. Faculty members are also dedicated to personal involvement with students outside the classroom in advising, social interaction, and informal academic and cultural settings.
 
Responsibilities
The position is a combined teaching/administrative one, with the majority of time devoted to teaching. The teaching responsibilities, which would match areas of expertise and include Strategic Management and the Senior Capstone, are primarily in the Adult Studies Business program, with teaching in the traditional program. The director develops new adult learner guides and facilitator guides. The administrative portion includes these responsibilities: interview and approve prospective students; advise prospective, current, and returning students; contract and supervise adjunct instructors; coordinate and participate in course development and assessment to continue to meet accreditation standards; assist with marketing the program; prepare the annual budget; supervise entrance requirements for the program; and other such duties.  The position includes some evening hours. The director reports to the chair of the business department.
 
Compensation
Rank and salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance, pension, life insurance, and disability insurance.
