Day Care Director
Description: This individual is responsible for all aspects of The Salvation Army’s Our Place Center for Homeless Children. Our Place helps families break the cycle of homelessness by providing a program that meets the educational, emotional, and spiritual needs of each family member. While their children are enrolled, parents have the opportunity to work, seek housing, attend school, receive counseling, volunteer at the Center, or enroll in training. Our Place consists of 38 children within four classrooms. Children range in age from two months to five and a half years. As the Day Care Director, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Center operates smoothly and complies with EEC regulations, NAEYC standards, and Salvation Army doctrine. You will provide leadership, supervision, and complete all necessary documentation. You will be expected to be hands-on in classrooms (approx. 50%) and represent the Day Care Center within the community and Salvation Army.
