CYMT - Youth Ministry Internships and Training Program
Organization Name:
Center for Youth Ministry Training
Do you need a Job and Youth Ministry Training?
Would you like a job where you are coached by a veteran youth minister?
Are you looking for a job where you can work while you work on a Masters degree?
Would you like to learn in an environment where you are surrounded by a community of other youth ministers?
The Center for Youth Ministry Training, www.cymt.org, trains youth ministers by providing graduate level education that develops practical theologians and theologically informed practitioners in youth ministry. The CYMT is committed to equipping those who are called to youth ministry with the tools they need to fulfill their call.
The CYMT works in collaboration with Princeton Theological Seminary’s Institute for Youth Ministry, Duke Divinity School, and Memphis Theological Seminary to provide the best theological and practical training possible. The CYMT program is unique in its efforts to educate in the classroom and to prepare the youth minister in the local congregation at the same time. Students can earn seminary credit while practicing youth ministry. Through our partnership with MTS, students can complete a Master of Arts degree in collaboration with the CYMT program.
CYMT Students have the opportunity to be a part of an incredible learning community that provides accountability and support in addition to training. Each student is coached by a veteran youth minister who works with the student and their local church.
Where else can you get a JOB, EDUCATION, MENTORING, and LIFE LONG FRIENDS?
CYMT provides a two-year job placement program that matches students with partner churches, where they serve as the youth director while participating in the CYMT program. The CYMT partners with local congregations in the Nashville, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, North Alabama, and Southern Kentucky regions.
Students receive a $12,000 a year stipend, housing, tuition, and training!
The CYMT is currently accepting application for their 2009 class. Students can begin their placements in May or August. We have 12 new positions available. APPLY TODAY! Application Deadline March 31! For more information, visit www.cymt.org or email us.
