Genesis World Mission, Inc. is a private, independent non-profit agency located in Garden City, Idaho, dedicated to achieving the following mission: To convey the love of Jesus Christ by meeting the physical, medical, and spiritual needs of the less fortunate, both locally and globally.

 

Founded in 2001, Genesis World Mission is the parent agency for three major programs:

 

• The Garden City Community Clinic provides limited diagnostic and treatment services to economically disadvantaged individuals without health insurance in the Treasure Valley.
• The Volunteer Physicians Network (VPN) is a referral network of specialty physicians, labs and hospitals who’ve agreed to donate medical care to patients of four Treasure Valley safety-net clinics.
• Genesis World Mission’s International Programs works to establish sustainable diagnostic and human health treatment services to economically disadvantaged individuals through local and international partnerships.

 

 

Position Summary:

We are looking for an Idaho-board certified Registered Nurse with a minimum of Bachelor degree to manage the day-to-day operations of the Garden City Community Clinic (GCCC). This is a Patient Centered Medical Home modeled clinic for the underserved and this position ensures high quality and compassionate care. Responsibilities include oversight of medication assistance program, assistant staffing, medical volunteer management, patient care coordination and patient education

 

This person works closely with the Director of Local Operations, a variety of volunteer medical directors, and other disciplines (dental, mental health) to provide a holistic and integrated approach to healing people, body, mind and spirit.

 

This person oversees a staff that is often in transition to professional careers, so the ability to mentor and coach younger employees and be flexible with a growing, changing workforce is essential.

 

A successful applicant must:

 

·         Be an Idaho-board certified Registered Nurse with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or other health related field

·         Have five years experience performing nursing assessments and developing and implementing nursing care plans

·         Have two years nursing (or equivalent) supervisory experience

·         Have a desire and ability to serve compassionately and in the spirit of the Gospel of Jesus Christ

·         Work in a highly-spiritual environment and be willing and able to pray with patients, staff members, and volunteers as the need arises

·         Be able to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment with minimal resources

·         Be able to pass a criminal background check

 

Desirable Traits

• Experience in community health care settings

• Rudimentary or strong Spanish-speaking skills

Job Compensation

 

Pay-range: the pay-range for this position is from $20.00-26.00/hour (although it is a salaried position and annual pay will depend on full or part time status)

Status: the job is being advertised at 30 hours per week but by the time a position is offered, we will be certain if we can offer it at 40 hours a week (dependent on grant funding).

Group Health Insurance: CURRENT plan is PPO from Pacific Source Health Care with 2000 Individual Deductible/Individual Out of Pocket; $30 co-pay; 80% in network benefit and tiered Rx $15/$30/$50. Maternity and EAP Included. (Plan details available upon request.)

50% of the employee’s premium is covered; no company contribution towards dependants’ premium.

Dental Insurance: nothing at this time

Retirement Plans: nothing at this time

Cafeteria Plans: Pre-tax dependant care and medical reimbursement accounts are available; no company contribution

Paid Time Off: 2 weeks per calendar year for full time employee

Paid Holidays: 10 scheduled per year
