This AmeriCorps position will assist with a K-8th grade after school program based in a church or faith-based organization, serving through mentoring, providing basic technology activities, coordinating volunteers, and providing overall support.  Positions are availalbe in Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Denver, and Chicago.

Seeking dedicated, mission-driven individuals with a heart for serving children in crisis. Must have extensive parenting skills and the call to make a difference in the lives of hurting children. Responsible for nurturing and caring for children in a family setting. Houseparent will supervise employees, manage household duties including, but not limited to, finance, assessing children’s needs, following up with school progress, food and organization of the house. Salary + room and board. Benefits available include: health, dental, vision, life, AD&D, LTD, AFLAC insurance, vacation time, and personal days.
