 Jewish Alcoholics, Chemically Dependent Persons and Significant Others Summary: Jewish Alcoholics, Chemically Dependent Persons and Significant Others (JACS) is a volunteer-led organization aimed at reaching out to those in the Jewish community struggling with addictions to alcohol or drugs, and to their family and friends. This site provides an online library and bibliography containing articles and books containing insights and support from a Jewish perspective and aimed at helping Jews to utilize their own spiritual traditions to enhance their recovery. Information about the locations of meetings for Jews in recovery and JACS programs and retreats is provided. JACS also sponsors a Teen Network for young people interested in the prevention of and education about substance abuse in the Jewish community. Why does FASTEN recommend this resource?
