Summary:

This short book, as described by its author, is, “a down-to-earth look at Christianity for the curious and skeptical.”  It is a useful tool in presenting a non-threatening and perhaps a new perspective of Jesus and the Christian faith to youth who are searching to understand their beliefs.  The author sets up the book as one that will debunk some common myths about Christianity and allow readers to decide for themselves how they will respond to real Jesus.  Each chapter begins with a common misconception about Christianity and then presents the biblical reality regarding this topic, using a poetic style that is engaging rather than boring.  Some of the topics covered are: Christians as followers of Jesus rather than members of an outdated religion; Jesus as more than just a teacher; repentance; salvation; the Church as people rather than buildings; and the Bible as relevant and an essential tool in one’s search for truth.

Why does FASTEN recommend this resource?
