Com'è noto facente parte l'esperienza in ospitare deve condurre il vostro debrief dopo ogni giorno di servizio.

Con un gruppo particolare, stavo avendo un momento duro fornire un debrief che misura i loro bisogni per svilupparsi spiritual ed essere abbastanza challenging.
 
Stavo pregando circa che cosa era ho dovuto capire, io ho gettato uno sguardo in su al cielo di notte. Dove provengo da voi può vedere milioni di stella. Bene, a volte nel centro urbano dovete cercare realmente duro per trovare una stella i lustri abbastanza luminosa per potere vederla sopra le luci fluorescenti della città che illuminano in su il cielo di notte.
 

La chiesa presbyterian di Fairfax ha servito fedelmente con il CSM per gli anni. È stato una gioia da servire parallelamente con loro. Elogiiamo il dio per la loro visione e passione per il ministero urbano.



Non desiderare fa, le famiglie della chiesa presbyterian di Fairfax hanno speso le migliaia dei dollari per volare i loro anni dell'adolescenza nel Messico per buon otto giorni di fare. Hanno aiutato le sedi di configurazione e rinnovano le chiese come componente di un esercito di più di 1 milione principalmente cristiani che vanno annualmente sui viaggi internazionali di breve durata di missione lavorare ed evangelize in terre povertà-impressionanti.

Il centro per le missioni dell'allievo, acquartierato nel punto di Dana, CA, ha nominato Dan reeve come il relativi terzi presidente e CEO. Un anno fa, un presidente corrente, Noel Becchetti e la sua moglie, Kyle, vice presidente dei funzionamenti al CSM, ha annunciato che stavano percependo il dio che richiama per lasciare il CSM in settembre, del 2008 per perseguire la chiamata seguente del dio ad un nuovo ministero. Per accertare una transizione regolare ed efficace, il bordo immediatamente ha cominciato un processo di ricerca di che recentemente ha concluso con assumere reeve. Comincerà la sua nuova assegnazione il 1 settembre 2008.
Nel suo nuovo ruolo, reeve condurrà il CSM nella relativa terza decade del ministero vibrant e urbano dove la missione rimane centrale:

Sto pensando tutto il giorno circa se o la non nostra società fosse stato completamente accecata da injustice. È qualcosa che ritenga che possiamo essere abituati a. Essendo al CSM questa estate realmente ha aperto la mia mente a quella possibilità. Quasi sembra occasionalmente che vediamo soltanto a che cosa desideriamo anche dopo che siamo stati esposti ad esso, servito in esso, abbiamo vissuto in esso ed istruito a questo proposito. Così indovino che la mia domanda è come non diventiamo immuni a così edizione sistematica voluminosa? Come esponiamo gli anni dell'adolescenza a qualcosa che non renda loro il tatto colpevole e non rimanga incastrata nel guilt?

      Poichè stavo sedendosi su una collina che trascura la città di Toronto durante il nostro finale debrief, io è stato scaldato da come la presenza del dio evidente aveva luogo nella settimana. Suppongo che il fatto che interamente siamo sopravvissuto la prima settimana come calcolatori centrali di estate senza alcuna tragedia principale era testimonianza abbastanza all'potenza di un God. Our loving l'addestramento era stato intenso ed i giorni prima che i gruppi siano arrivato, siamo stati riempiti di eccitamento e di nervosismo a che cosa doveva venire.

È divertente come le cose possono essere così semplici, ma se non osservate abbastanza molto attentamente... le mancate. Un tale esempio viene con il marchio di FedEx. Ciò è stata precisata a me non troppo lungo fa e non ho potuto mai guardare da allora il marchio lo stesso modo! Forewarned, questo può alterare l'osservazione di questo marchio per voi anche. La volta prossima vedete uno, controllate lo spazio bianco fra la E ed il x. noterete una freccia che sta indicando alla destra! Se siete come me e mai che non sapeste che quello ha esistito, avete fatti appena la vostra cambiare prospettiva. Tale era il caso per me durante la nostra sessione debriefing ultimo mercoledì.

So we hear a lot about Hollywood on TV. As a kid I always thought that was the happening, cool place. I went there today to some of our ministry sites that we have there, and I quickly learned the reality of my TV Hollywood. Yeah there are the hundreds of stars for the famous, and the shops, and Capital Records. BUT there are also a lot of poor people in Hollywood. Hollywood is not just the sign we see on the hill, it is a community of living, breathing people.

Every Wed night we have a praise night out on the beach at Coney Island with all of the groups that are here. So we have a time of worship, some testimonies, a time of teaching, and then some small group time

As we were closing the night I was talking to the group about prayer. The verse I read to them, the theme verse for my CSM experience, was Ephesians 3:20, which I’ve talked about before. It reads,
"Now all glory to God! By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask of hope." I also shared this story:

I am reading a book that a former staff member blessed me with called: Here and Now by Henri Nouwen. An excerpt out of the book is called "From Competition to Compassion".
