How Effective are Sleep Outs in the Battle Against Poverty and Homelessness? (from Change.org)
Submitted by pure.imagination on Mon, 11/02/2009 - 12:25
Sleep outs are becoming more and more common as young people look for creative ways to raise money and awareness about issues concerning homelessness. However, as Dominic Mapstone, writing for Change.org, points out, these events are "akin to tourists visiting a new country and staying in the resort the whole time they're there." What are you thoughts on sleep outs for the homeless and what other ideas do you have to mobilize young people to fight against poverty?
