"Social justice has become a buzz phrase in Christianity lately. Halting global injustice seems to be one of the foremost concerns of young Christians, and its emphasis is changing the face of the Church from the way it engages society to the way it engages politics. But is our emphasis on social justice detracting from other areas of the Gospel?"

Fairfax Presbyterian Church has faithfully served with CSM for years. It has been a joy to serve side by side with them. We praise God for their vision and passion for urban ministry.

Not long ago, the families of Fairfax Presbyterian Church spent thousands of dollars to fly their teens to Mexico for eight days of doing good. They helped build homes and refurbish churches as part of an army of more than 1 million mostly Christians who annually go on short-term international mission trips to work and evangelize in poverty-stricken lands.

I have been getting updates from my parents, and they are doing well. My mom traveled to and from ChengDu safely, and she is now back in Shanghai.

There are many missionaries that served the Lord in India and some died during course of their commission. Out of these Carmichael’s ministry intrigues me as she give up her life in rescuing young girls from the age old social evil practice and dedicated to the cause of spiritual and material well being of the children.
