CCDA 2007 First Day!

I come now as a humble servant of the Most High.    I'm not a popular speaker but here I come to gather with my fellow Christians to build up a vision for God's kingdom.  I enjoy CCDA because it is something much bigger than myself.   It is through Christ that I live and with him I stand.   Everyday I discover who God is.  What does he want for me?  What does he want for us all.   My weakest moments are a testament to his unconditional love for me.  I am overjoyed by this experience here.   The day began on an off note but God gave wisdom to overcome the situation and a joy to see that any situation good or bad is for His Kingdom.   At the airport coming to CCDA in St.

When people deal with colour, class or culture in a negative way, that's racism. But the answer is not to ignore differences as if they don't matter. Instead, we can focus on diversity in a positive way. That's gracism. Pastor David Anderson responds to prejudice and injustice with the principle of gracism: radical inclusion for the marginalized and excluded. Building on the apostle Paul's exhortations in 1 Corinthians 12 to honour the weaker member, Anderson presents a biblical model for showing special grace to others on the basis of colour, class or culture. He offers seven sayings of the gracist with practical examples for building bridges and including others.

Despite a desire to share God's love in their communities, many churches stumble along the path from intention to action. To become a change agent, a church must itself undergo transformation, on two levels: leadership development and mission realignment. This workshop identifies the necessary components for this change process.

Institutional and denominational churches are struggling to grow and impact the culture in a growing postmodern environment. Church renewal is desperately needed to live out the claims of Christ and address systemic and personal evil which oppress the poor and marginalized. This workshop will engage the group in meaningful exploration of the theological and practical guidelines to creating these new wineskins.
