Why Blog for UrbanMinistry.org?

Printer-friendly versionPDF version

At UrbanMinistry.org, we strive to provide the social justice community with an exhaustive amount of videos, wiki articles, audio, clip arts, sermon outlines, podcasts and other resources on Christian social justice. And we do a great job at it.

However, we need your help! UrbanMinistry.org is looking for people like you (Christians, ministry leaders, youth workers, social justice activists, people interested in urban ministry) to contribute their own unique brand of content to the site. And what better way to do that than by...blogging!

Blogging Research Wordle (Kristina B, flickr)Why blog for UrbanMinistry.org?

Well, there are a few reasons.

It's a way to share your views and opinions with other people all over the world. Really passionate about racial reconciliation? Or technology? Or volunteering? Then feel free to make UrbanMinistry.org your personal soapbox to share your views and ideas about social justice topics! We currently have over twenty topics that you can blog about, all listed here at http://www.urbanministry.org/allchannels.

It's a great networking tool. Through your blog postings and other blogs on the site, you can connect with others interested in social justice topics that you care about.

It's a fun, easy way to volunteer your time. By blogging on UrbanMinistry.org, you are volunteering your time to help spread the word about social justice issues. You are contributing to our global network.

It you are affiliated with a nonprofit organization or ministry, or if you are an aspiring writer, you can use your blog as a launching pad. We'd love to read your stories about the things that your organization is doing in your community, or just ideas for initiatives that you have to make the world a better place!

Here are a few examples of blogs by some of our current volunteers:
