Summary:

This article gives several examples of cities and communities  (all part of the Pew Partnership for Civic Change) that are working together to solve their own problems. The author stresses that for real change to occur, communities need to not rely on outside help but instead to find and employ their own assets.  She also discusses the importance of organizations working together across sectors, including government, secular, and faith-based.  The stories are interesting, inspirational, and brief.
