God's Perfect Will

"Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect." Romans 12:2

Last year, the church I attend did a bible study through the book of Romans. I would recommend going to www.harvest.org/women and checking out the Women's Bible Fellowship link on the left side. It was a great encouragement to me throughout the year and also helped to convict me of some serious sin issues in my life. Romans 12:2 was one of those verses.

So many times in the church today we are told to blend in to look like non-believers so that we can win people to Christ, but God's word, especially the book of Acts tells us otherwise! I would encourage you to read the book of Acts for yourself so you can learn the biblical model of evangelism and not the current church's model. Unfortunately,  they are two very different things in many aspects, if not all. However, I believe this verse is also calling us as women to a personal one on one time daily with the Lord. I know this is difficult. I'm a full time student who is looking at 17 units this next semester, along with active church involvement, and friends and family to take care of. I understand busy. But being in God's word daily is of vital importance, and I cannot stress it enough. Even if its only 10 minutes every morning befor the day begins, I would encourage you, plead with you to take tha time for yourself with God. It will be more of a blessing than I could ever describe here. And trust me, God will reward your faithfulness. Until next time, God bless!
