Accountability

"Teach the older women to live in a way that honors God... They should teach others what is good." Titus 2:3

As a younger woman, I can definitely attest to the fact that we need guidance from an early age. I'm not saying my mom didn't guide me (she did), but I needed someone to hold me accountable, especially after my mother's influence in my life began to wane a bit. I can't tell you how many mistakes I could have avoided had someone been there to guide me along. But that is not the point. To the older women who read this, I want you to find a young woman in your church and mentor her. Hold her accountable to daily opening the word and spending time wtih God. Younger women, I implore you to seek out an older woman in your church and ask her to teach you the things she has learned over the years. Better yet, go to your church leaders and suggest they sponsor such a program. Volunteer to help with the program. and this goes for both the younger and older women. I cannot stress enough how important this is in the life of every woman. The bible commands it and we are to live by the bible, are we not?
