TechSoup Stock lists the following Restrictions.

Business Objects, Inc. Restrictions:

  • Eligible organizations may request the following from Business Objects:
  1. Two Business Objects software products per fiscal year (July 1 – June 30).
  2. One Business Objects training module per fiscal year (July 1 – June 30).
  3. One perpetual crystalreports.com ten-user license.
  • This donation is available only to U.S. nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation, Canadian charitable organizations with a Confirmation of Registration Letter from the Canada Revenue Agency, and Canadian nonprofits that are incorporated either provincially or at the federal level.
  • Donated products will be distributed to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
  • Business Objects products are not available for distribution to educational institutions (including K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and trade schools), libraries, organizations that support political parties or candidates, religious organizations (except for those with a secular community designation), professional associations, labor/fraternal associations, professional sports groups, hospitals or hospital support, nursing homes, health care provider associations or registries, health insurance, scientific research (except for research of diseases or other medical research), or conferences.
  • This donation is available only to organizations with an annual operating budget of under $5 million (USD).
  • Donation recipients must be willing and able to provide information to Business Objects for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this product.
  • Organizations must abide by the terms and conditions outlined in the Business Objects Software License and Related Services Agreement.
  • Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program.  Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive donations.
  • Business Objects products may not be transferred or resold.

 

Cost Range or Discount Range: 

Depending on the Business Object product(s) selected, there is an Administrative Fee that ranges from $29.00 to $85.00.

Business Objects Donation Programs

Business Objects is pleased to offer qualified nonprofits business intelligence software and services that help any size organization improve decision-making and enterprise performance.

Please note the following important program details:

  • Organizations are restricted to two Business Objects software products and one online training course per year and one perpetual crystalreports.com ten-user license.

  • When an order has been approved, an email will be sent to the organization's email address (not the address of the person ordering the product).

  • For training, the email must go to the person who will be taking the course. Therefore, you must update your organization profile before placing your order so that the trainee's email address is the organization address.

  • Online training customers can expect to receive their enrollment registration by email two to three weeks after they have been qualified and payment has been received.
