Congress Moving to Remove "Widow Penalty"

Under current U.S. law, spouses of American citizens are being denied citizenship if their spouse died before their application could be processed. Surviving Spouses Against Deportation is working to raise Congressional support for HR 6034, a bill to end this unjustifiable practice.
